Lo3tus is a self-taught abstract expressionist artist from Los Angeles, California. Her works are narratives based on her perspectives on life – abstract accounts of her emotional response to people, things, and events. Painting allows Lo3tus to relive particular moments in her life, while also gaining new insights on her own self-discovery journey.  Many describe her art style as “chaotic yet coherent,” drawing heavy inspiration from Basquiat’s use of colors and Picasso’s cubism style. It’s her hope that viewers of her work will share an appreciation for the raw personal emotions and experiences that go into every single one of her pieces. Finding a sense of relatability and comfort through mutual sentiments, because at the end of the day, feelings are what connect us to one another.
